Minimum requirements for a startup to receive investment
- Prototype or MVP (Minimum Viable Product) available. This demonstrates that the idea has been developed to some extent and can be tested.
- A team in place that covers most of the product's development needs. A strong, capable team is essential for investors.
- Traction – statistics on sales, deals, revenue, users, downloads (depending on the product) showing month-over-month growth. Traction proves market interest and potential.
- A working financial and business model for the next 12-18 months. Investors need to see a clear plan for how the investment will be used and how the business will generate revenue.
- A global market of at least US$1 billion with growth potential / A market valuation in Turkmenistan of at least 100 million manat (in the case of a startup in Turkmenistan). This demonstrates the potential for significant returns on investment.
- Project roadmap until the next round of investment. Investors want to see a long-term vision for the company and how it will achieve its goals.
BIZANGEL invests in early-stage startups, specifically Pre-seed and Seed rounds. The club primarily invests in startups from Turkmenistan, as well as Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan), Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia. Startups from other countries with founders from Turkmenistan are also considered. BIZANGEL's investment activity is focused on various areas (eCommerce, FinTech, EdTech, DeepTech, etc.), with the exception of cryptocurrency and Gambling.
